It's possible that your symptoms could get worse before they get better on your protocol, but this isn't always the case.
Everyone is different, with their own health history, symptoms and biochemistry, so each person reacts differently to their protocol. We tailor all protocols to the person, so they're all different too.
If you take antimicrobials, it's possible that you could get a 'die-off' reaction, where dying bacteria and/or yeasts give off substances that can irritate your gut and/or exacerbate your symptoms.
Sometimes it's difficult to tell the difference between die-off symptoms and your usual symptoms.
Some common die-off symptoms are:
- chills
- fatigue
- muscle aches
- brain fog
- headaches
- fever
I feel terrible, what should I do?
We recommend stopping your supplements, then starting each supplement again one-by-one, so you can identify which one is likely to be causing your symptoms.
Start each supplement at a low dose, and then build up to the recommended dose by increasing the amount every day.
Transforming your health takes time and patience, and the path to health isn’t always straight. The length of time you’ll need to feel vibrantly well is personal to your own health journey.
I'm at the end of my protocol, what's next?
Your protocol is likely to last between 6 to 12 weeks. Most people feel significantly better when they finish, and don't need any more help from us.
If your symptoms are severe, or you've had them for a long time, you may need 3 months or more working with a practitioner to ensure that your health concerns are fully addressed and resolved long term.
It's common for patients with more complex needs to require 6-12 months of support from a practitioner, with consultations at spaced intervals throughout that time.
