# My symptoms have gone since becoming pregnant, do I still need to do the protocol?
## If your symptoms have gone since becoming pregnant, you don't need to start the protocol.
Pregnancy can change your gut symptoms quite dramatically.
Some antimicrobials are not suitable in pregnancy, so focus on eating a wide variety of whole foods throughout pregnancy instead of following the supplement protocol.
If you are still experiencing symptoms, it would be better to work directly with a practitioner during pregnancy.
